Brno, Mar 12 (BD) – On Wednesday, the council appointed representatives to prepare a public procurement contract for the renovation of the public toilet facilities in Lužánky Park, close to Pionyrská. CZK 1 million was allocated for this purpose in the city’s budget for 2019, and the total cost is estimated to be CZK 1.2 million. The works should begin in March, and be completed in April.

“The current state of the public toilet building near Pionýrská is unsatisfactory. If we want people in the park to feel comfortable, we need to do something about it. And it’s not just the toilets themselves. If there is a barbecue in Lužánky and we give Brno residents the opportunity to organize a picnic here, it would be nice if they could wash their hands somewhere. Maybe it’s a small thing, but many people will definitely appreciate it,” said Petr Hladík (KDU-ČSL), First Deputy Mayor of Brno.

Work needed on the facility includes replacement of the windows and the internal and external doors, the installation of sanitary partition walls, replacement of internal and external sills and drains, modifications to the wiring and locks, repair of the roof and facade, and replacement of tiles.
