“Mendel is… A beekeeper” Festival Honoring Famous Brno Scientist

Brno, Jul 18 (BD) – One of the most famous Brno personalities, Gregor Mendel is known as the father of genetics, with a large contribution to the world of science. This year, the festival has been organized in his honor and to celebrate his birth.

Mendel is not only known as a scientist – he was also a monk, a meteorologist, and many more. This year, the theme focuses on Mendel’s life as a beekeeper.

The planned programme of the festival includes exhibitions at the Mendel Museum and other museums in Brno, such as the Technical Museum Brno and VIDA! Science Center. There are also art and science workshops for both children and adults alike, along with concerts.
