US Pizza Delivery Chain Domino’s Pizza To Enter Czech Market
The restaurant chain, which is the world leader in retail pizza delivery with over 16,500 branches in 85 countries, has chosen Brno for its first two branches on the Czech market. Brno, Nov 18 (BD) – Domino’s Pizza, the world leader in retail pizza delivery, is coming to Brno and the Czech Republic for the first time. The chain chose Brno for its first Czech branches, rather than the capital. The first restaurant opened in Brno’s Vinohrady at the beginning of November, but its city centre branch will open on November 21st on Divadelní. Domino’s have chosen the Czech market as their natural next target for global growth, through its principal European franchisee Daufood, a part of the Spanish COBEGA Group.
José Marti, CEO of Daufood, welcomed the expansion: “I’m really proud of our team who helped bring the international brand Domino’s Pizza to the Czech Republic. We are pleased that the people of Brno people will be able to taste our legendary pizzas, great customer service and fast delivery.”
With the expansion, Daufood will create dozens of jobs, including both couriers and kitchen staff. According to Jozef Kaczirek, Daufood CZ’s director of operations, “We believe that Domino’s Pizza will succeed in Brno and that Czechs will love this US delicacy. Our wish is that the brand becomes a leader in its field on the Czech market like everywhere else in the world.”
