Brno, Feb 20 (BD) – At 3am this morning, the police received reports of water flowing from the road in front of the Pisarecky tunnel. According to police spokesman Jakub Ghanem, a serious burst water pipe had led to hundreds of liters of water pouring along the road. Traffic from the direction of Zabovreska to Bohunice and Prague had to be diverted as the tunnel was closed for several hours. By 7am, the tunnel was open again in all directions. There is still a hole in the road marked with traffic signs.
Drivers approaching from Bauerova and Hlinky cannot reach the tunnel. Possible alternative routes are Pisarecka and Rybnicka. Repairs will take several days.
