Brno, May 25 (BD) – From May 15th to June 15th, all adults with a verified account on Brno iD and permanent residence in Brno can vote to select members of the Evaluation Committees for the provision of subsidies in the field of culture. 

Every Brno citizen can vote in nine areas of culture: audiovisual; theater, performance and circus; music; year-round activities of music clubs; cultural, educational and hobby activities; literature; support for arts and crafts and folk traditions; dance; and fine arts, photography, design and architecture. A separate vote is set up on the Brno iD platform for each area.

The Evaluation Committees are appointed by Brno City Council. Each evaluation committee will have five members. One member will be chosen by the public, one will be recommended by the City of Brno’s Department of Culture, one will be selected from the academic and university sphere, and two members will be selected by the Commission of the Cultural Council of the City of Brno or on its recommendation. The term of office for committee members is two years, from 2020 to 2022.

Brno iD accounts can now be verified from the comfort of your home. Once your account is verified, you can vote on the website. The website is available in Czech and English.
